Champions League

The Madrid of 11 champions

On Tuesday, the Champions League returns and Zinedine Zidane will have a champions XI for Real Madrid at his disposal.

His rotation, for the vast majority of the time, has been left for LaLiga matches.

Therefore, against Tottenham, Casemiro, Modric and Varane will return to give the French coach his very best available starting XI against the north Londoners.

A win would mean that Los Blancos will stand alone at the top of Group H.

Dani Carvajal, Gareth Bale and Mateo Kovacic continue their recovery processes, but Zidane has recalled Varane and Casemiro after deciding to rest them, just as he did recently with Modric and Isco.

Having said that, the former Malaga man still had to come on for the last 20 minutes at Getafe on Saturday to help propel Real to a much-needed win.

The Croatian, on the other hand, saw the entire match from the bench.

Karim Benzema is fully recovered and available for the first time this season for a European game, whilst strike partner, Cristiano Ronaldo, is already on track in this season’s competition with four goals.

With that pair up front, Kroos, Modric and Isco in midfield, Marcelo, Varane and Ramos in defence and Keylor Navas in goal, the only doubt is who will play at right-back; Nacho or Achraf.
