The Bernabeu rises in support of Cristiano Ronaldo

Real Madrid supporters showed their support of the suspended Cristiano Ronaldo by standing and chanting his name when the clock hit seven minutes during their Supercopa de Espana second leg with Barcelona.

The Portuguese was sent off in the first leg for what was deemed to be simulation, despite it seeming as though he was fouled by Samuel Umtiti when bearing down on goal.

He then reacted badly to the decision, pushing the referee and receiving a five match ban as a result – one game for the sending off and four for shoving the official.
