Cristiano Ronaldo scored two for Portugal and Morata scored in Spain’s draw
Thirteen Real Madrid players have been called up for their international teams’ upcoming games. They are Varane, Carvajal, Ramos, Nacho, Isco, Morata, Asensio, Navas, Modric, Kovacic, Cristiano Ronaldo, Pepe and James. The first match was a friendly between Spain and Colombia, in which Morata scored a goal to level things up in the last minutes and James got an assist. Cristiano Ronaldo, scored two and got an assist for Portugal in Latvia. Keylor Navas and Varane played 90 minutes with Costa Rica and France, respectively.
Macedonia-Spain (11 June, 8:45pm)
Nacho, Asensio and Morata played in the friendly against Colombia. The defender played the full ninety minutes while the other two madridistas played the second half. Morata was key in the result, grabbing a draw in the 87′. Ramos, Isco, and Carvajal will also play for the national side against Macedonia, in a qualifying match for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
France-England (13 June, 9pm)
Varane played the whole match in France’s defeat against Sweden (2-1) in Solna. With this result, both teams are tied at the top of Group A. On Tuesday, the Euros finalist will play England in Stade de in a friendly.
Cristiano Ronaldo shone for Portugal in the last game before the Confederations Cup. The Real Madrid forward got two goas and an assist when beating Latvia (0-3) in the Skonto Stadium in Riga. The win keeps them second in Group B, three points behind the leaders Switzerland.
Costa Rica-Panama (0-0)
Costa Rica-Trinidad and Tobago (14 June, 4am)
Costa Rica drew 0-0 against Panama in their first qualifier for the next World Cup, in a match in which Keylor Navas played 90 minutes. The second game will also be played at home in the National Stadium of San Jose against Trinidad and Tobago.
Iceland-Croatia (11 June, 8:45pm)
Modric and Kovacic will be stars in Croatia’s only international match. It will be played in Laugardalsvollur (Reykjavik) where the Balkan side will defend the leadership of Group I.
Cameroon-Colombia (13 June, 8:30pm)
James played 80 minutes for the Colombian national side iand assisted Falcao for his team’s second goal. The next game is also a friendly against Cameroon and will take place at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez in Getafe.
