Real Madrid’s injury crisis has seemingly worsened with reports that midfielder Toni Kroos skipped the side’s final training session ahead of their upcoming LaLiga fixture against Alaves on Saturday.
A host of Los Blancos’ key men including Karim Benzema, Theo Hernandez, Marcelo, Mateo Kovacic and Jesus Vallejo were set to miss out on the trip to the Mendizorrotza due to injury, but now coach Zinedine Zidane will most likely have to make do without the German international too.
It is believed the 27-year-old playmaker had been injured during their clash against Real Sociedad over the weekend and was withdrawn from the match as a precaution.
Despite no statement yet from the club, initial fears suggest that the World Cup winner reignited the problem during the match against Betis.
As a result, the French tactician may be forced into wholesale changes with Nacho set to feature on the left-flank whilst either of Marcos Llorente or Dani Ceballos are expected to step in, in Kroos’ absence.
