Luka Modric will be the sixth Croatian to reach 100 internationals for their national side when they take on Finland this Friday.
Since making his debut against Argentina in 2006, Modric has become a leader in midfield of a side that reached the World Cups in 2006 and 2014 as well as Euro 2008, 2012 and 2016.
While one of his regrets was to miss out on the 2010 World Cup, he will be doing his best to help his side qualify for Russia.
In 99 games so far the Real Madrid player has scored 11 goals with his last strike coming a year last June against Turkey.
Dario Srna leads the list of players with most caps, having made 134 times appearances, whose record is still some way away but Modric’s 100th cap will see him draw level with Dario Simic.
Meanwhile, Barcelona’s Ivan Rakitic is not far behind Modric with 84 caps.
