Kuipers will referee Dortmund-Real Madrid and Kulbakov will do so for Sevilla-Maribor

The Dutch referee Bjorn Kuipers will be in charge of the second match in Group H of the Champions League between Dortmund and Real Madrid in Germany, while Belarusian Aleksei Kulbakov will be in charge of the Sevilla-Maribor fixture.

Kuipers refereed the final of the Champions League that Real played against Atletico Madrid in 2013/14 and also previously oversaw a Dortmund-Real Madrid match; in the semifinals of the same competition in the 2012/13 season.

Kulbakov, 38, will take charge of proceedings in group E, at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

He has never refereed a Spanish team in international competition, although he has done so at Atletico Madrid twice, and at Athletic Bilbao, Valencia and Levante.
