Despite a slow start to their LaLiga title defence, Isco believes Real Madrid never lost confidence and hopes his side can build on their comfortable 3-1 win over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Los Blancos currently trail league-leaders Barcelona by a whopping seven points, but dismissed rumours of a crisis within a club by claiming their first ever victory at the Westfalenstadion in impressive fashion.
“The Dortmund match was spectacular, you must remember that we had never won there, but we never lost our confidence despite our poor streak,” Isco said.
“For us it was very important to win in Dortmund. The team showed its ability and it was a good game to build confidence.
“The results in the league are bad, but they aren’t an accurate reflection as everyone sees that we have had chances, but we are missing the final product.”
It is a sentiment shared by keeper Keylor Navas, who believes the poor start is behind them and the club have set their sights on more titles.
“There’s a lot of joy for having won in a difficult stadium like the one at Borussia Dortmund,” he said.
“These matches are very motivating because there is a lot of tension.
“Now we have regained confidence and want to win many titles.”
Isco went on to praise Marco Asensio and has tipped his teammate to become the best player in the world.
“He is the youngest player with the most talent in the world,” he concluded.
