It was a dream Real Madrid debut for Dani Ceballos on Wednesday evening as he came on for his first competitive minutes since his move from Real Betis.
The 21-year-old felt his side played superbly against
Barcelona and he was thrilled to have been a part of it.
“I become more amazed by Real Madrid each day,” he said in the mixed zone after the match.
“In the first half we took Barcelona to the cleaners and I enjoyed it just like another fan.
“I am very happy to have been able to debut at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu and to have won a title against Barcelona.
“It is a dream.
“To play as a home player at the Bernabeu is spectacular and I was impressed by it.”
Ceballos then explained that he is drawing inspiration from Marco Asensio , who was in a similar position to him this time last year, but who is now one of the stars of the team.
“I came to Real Madrid aware that it was the best club in the world and Marco Asensio is an example to follow, in terms of earning opportunities,” he said.
“Nothing about Asensio surprises me.
“He is a key player for the team.
“He scores goals wherever he goes and we hope it stays like this for some time.”
Finally, Ceballos discusses the club’s objectives for the season ahead, insisting that Los Blancos will try to win every title.
